Culinary Tour of Mexico Kickoff Event

This past Monday, UTSA Special Collections and La Despedida kicked off our year-long Culinary Tour of Mexico with a night of appetizers from Nuevo León, Sonora, Colima, Quintana Roo, Oaxaca, and Puebla.  Approximately 45 students and staff joined us to try out the recipes from CONACULTA’s series of state-themed cookbooks.   Thank you to everyone who worked hard to help make this event a success!

If you weren’t able to make it on Monday, you can check out the photos or try the recipes on your own.

Be sure to join us next time on September 28th for a “visit” to Nuevo León from noon-1pm  and learn how to make flautas de pollo!
